French Toast Ingredients

4 whole eggs

1 cup milk

1 teaspoon vanilla

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

1/2 teaspoon orange peel

1/2 teaspoon sugar

8 slices Brioche bread

Broiled Grapefruit Ingredients

2 grapefruits

1/3 cup brown sugar

Instructions:

French Toast: Mix eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, orange peel and sugar. Set aside. Slice bread into 1/2-inch thick slices and soak in egg mixture until just saturated. Brown in a hot skillet filmed with canola oil.

Broiled Grapefruit: Cut grapefruit in half, section out into a flame-proof dish. Sprinkle brown sugar over fruit. Broil until hot and bubbly, about 5 minutes.

Serve broiled grapefruit on the side of French toast
