- Ingredients
- 3 large Granny Smith apples – peeled, cored, and sliced
- 2 large pears – peeled, cored, and sliced
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine
A great side dish on a cold morning. Can also use as a topper for pancakes and waffles.
Place all ingredients in a 1-1/2 to 2-quart baking dish. Mix together. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 45 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve warm. For variety, add sliced bananas, raisins, and/or nuts prior to baking.
