- Ingredients:
- 1/4 pound butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 pint sour cream
- 2 cups flour
- 1-1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
Instructions:
Mix 1/2 cup sugar, cinnamon, and chopped nuts. Set aside. Mix sour cream and baking soda. Set aside. Cream butter and remaining sugar well. Add eggs and vanilla. Add sifted flour and baking powder alternately with the sour cream mixture. Spread 1/2 of the batter in a greased and floured bread pan. Sprinkle 1/2 of the cinnamon nut mixture and gently incorporate some batter with the mixture with a fork. Add remaining batter and cinnamon mix, blending as before. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes to an hour.
