This easy brisket recipe is ideal for slow cooker beginners. No extra cooking necessary, just toss all the ingredients in your slow cooker and let it go to work, while you’re at work.

Ingredients

Serves: 12
  • 1 (6 pound) fresh beef brisket, cut into three chunks
  • 2 (12 ounce) jars mushroom gravy
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 1 envelope onion soup mix
  • 6 gingersnap cookies, crushed

Preparation method

Prep: 10 mins | Cook: 7 hours

1. Set brisket chunks into a large slow cooker.
2. In a bowl, whisk gravy with cider, soup mix, and cookie crumbs; add to slow cooker over the brisket.
3. Cook on LOW for 7 to 8 hours; beef will be very tender. Slice and serve.
