- 1 pheasant, cleaned and cut into serving pieces
- Flour
- Salt and pepper
- 2 tablespoons canola oil
- Milk or cream
- 1 cup Sprite(R) or other carbonated lemon-lime drink
Preparation method
Prep: 10 mins | Cook: 1 hour 45 mins
1. Dredge pheasant in flour and season with salt and pepper. Heat canola oil in skillet and brown the pheasant in hot oil on all sides, about 10 minutes.
2. Add enough milk and Sprite(R) to measure 2 inches of liquid in the pan around the pheasant. Cover and simmer on low for 1 1/2 hours, or until bird reaches 165 degrees F internally.
