Ingredients

300 g double cream
2 tbsp Dijon mustard
2 tbsp parsely, chopped
½ tsp lemon juice
2 tbsp unsalted butter
500 g shrimp, peeled and deveined
some salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Combine double cream, mustard, lemon juice and parsley in a saucepan over medium high heat. Let simmer 4-5 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Melt butter in a heavy nonstick skillet over medium high heat.

When butter begins to bubble, add shrimp and sauté 3-4 minutes until pink. Be careful not to overcook.

Pour sauce over shrimp and serve hot or cold as a starter.

This recipe can also be used as a dip. Let shrimp cool and then blend until smooth in a blender or food processor. Mix with cream sauce and provide as dip. Serve with bread or crackers.
