Ingredients
300 g | double cream |
2 tbsp | Dijon mustard |
2 tbsp | parsely, chopped |
½ tsp | lemon juice |
2 tbsp | unsalted butter |
500 g | shrimp, peeled and deveined |
some | salt and pepper to taste |
Instructions
Combine double cream, mustard, lemon juice and parsley in a saucepan over medium high heat. Let simmer 4-5 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper.Melt butter in a heavy nonstick skillet over medium high heat.
When butter begins to bubble, add shrimp and sauté 3-4 minutes until pink. Be careful not to overcook.
Pour sauce over shrimp and serve hot or cold as a starter.
This recipe can also be used as a dip. Let shrimp cool and then blend until smooth in a blender or food processor. Mix with cream sauce and provide as dip. Serve with bread or crackers.
