Semolina Casserole with Parmesan recipe

Ingredients
½ l | milk |
90 g | durum wheat semolina |
125 g | butter |
salt and pepper | |
6 | eggs |
2 tbsp | freshly grated Parmesan cheese |
butter, to grease the pan |
Instructions
Bring the milk to a boil and stir in the semolina. Cook stirring over low heat until the mixture thickens. Remove from the heat and stir in the butter. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Allow to cool until lukewarm.
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Separate the eggs. Stir the egg yolks into the semolina mixture. Whisk the egg whites until stiff, then fold in, together with the Parmesan cheese.
Transfer the mixture into a greased casserole dish and bake in the preheated oven for approximately 30 minutes or until golden brown.
