Ingredients
230 g | shortcrust pastry |
140 g | mixed dried fruit |
50 g | butter, melted |
50 g | brown sugar |
30 g | walnuts, chopped |
30 g | glacÚ cherries, chopped |
1 medium | egg, beaten |
110 g | icing sugar |
1 tbsp | lemon juice |
Instructions
Preheat oven to 190░C and lightly grease a round baking tin.Roll out the pastry.
Combine butter and sugar in a saucepan and sugar until sugar is dissolved. Remove from the heat and allow to cool.
Add the dried fruit, walnuts and cherries and beaten egg.
Place the mixture into the prepared baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes or until the pastry is slightly browned. Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly.
Mix the icing sugar and lemon juice together and spread over the top of the tart. Cool completely.
