- Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 Tablespoons butter
- 3 Granny Smith apples, cut into one-inch pieces
- 3 Tablespoons flour
- 3 eggs, separated
- 3 Tablespoons milk
Use 10-inch skillet with wooden or plastic handle. Cover handle with aluminum foil. Melt butter in skillet. Combine cinnamon and sugar and sprinkle over melted butter. Add apple slices and cook over low heat until apples are coated.
Beat flour, egg yolks, and milk together. In separate bowl, beat egg whites until stiff. Gently fold egg yolk mixture in egg white mixture. Pour over apple slices and cover the entire skillet. Bake at 400 degrees in oven. It will “poof” up. Remove from oven. Loosen sides, turn upside down. Cut in pie slices.
