Aunt norma's fruit ambrosia recipe details
- Ingredients
- 2 cans Dolepineapple chunks unsweetened (drained, save juice for sauce)
- 2 cans mandarin oranges (drain, throw away juice)
- 2 cups green or purple seedless grapes
- 1/2 cup reserved pineapple juice (unsweetened)
- 1/3 cup lemon juice
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 6 bananas
- Whipped cream (optional)
Put all fruits in a bowl. Mix all juices, sugar, and egg in a pan. Mix and boil until it’s slightly thick, then cool. Pour in sauce and mix in fruit. Slice bananas and add in just before serving. Fold in whipped cream (optional).
