sauted tilapia with lime with details
Ingredients1. Fish, about 1/2 inch thick (11/3lb)
2. minced garlic (1clove)
3. all purpose flour (1/3c)
4. dry white wine (1/3c)
5. margarine or butter (1/2tsp)
6. lime juice (1tbsp)
7. olive oil (1tbsp)
8. chopped green onions (3)
9. salt and pepper (to taste)
Method of preparation
1. Take fish, rinse it and pat dry. Take flour in a plate and season it with salt and pepper. Dredge the fillets in the flour and then pat the fillets to remove the excess flour.
2. Take a small bowl, mix wine, lime juice, garlic and margarine in it. Take a large frying pan, place it over medium high heat. Heat olive oil in it. Add fish fillets in the pan without overlapping them. Cook the fillets until get golden on bottom for about 3 minutes.
3. Turn the side and cook until gets opaque through the center for about 1 to 2 minutes. Now add the wine mixture to the pan and boil it.
4. Cook it until it gets reduce to half for about 2 to 3 minutes. Add onions and heat for about 30 seconds. Now pour the sauce over the fish and serve it in a serving dish.
