sam's strawberry banana nut bread recipe details
- Ingredients
- 3 cups plain flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 Tablespoon cinnamon
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 2 cups fresh or thawed, sliced strawberries
- 1 over-ripe banana, mashed well
- 1-1/2 cups chopped pecans or walnuts
Combine flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and sugar. Stir in 4 beaten eggs, vegetable oil, sliced strawberries, mashed banana and pecans or walnuts. Combine all ingredients until well moistened. Spoon into two greases or sprayed loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 65 minutes. Cool before removing from pans. Serve warm or will be easier to slice if wrapped in wax paper and foil then refrigerated overnight. May be frozen.
