Ingredients
Serves: 6- 1 1/2 pounds ground round
- 1 cup unseasoned bread crumbs
- 1 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup grated yellow or white onion
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
- 1 teaspoon sage
- 3 tablespoons light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup catsup
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
Preparation method
Prep: 15 mins | Cook: 1 hour1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2. Mix meat, bread crumbs, milk, eggs. grated onion. salt, pepper, and sage well and form into a loaf pan, preferably a self-draining meat loaf pan.
3. Mix brown sugar, catsup, nutmeg, and dry mustard together. Spread in an even layer over the top of the meat loaf.
4. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour.
