Nutmeg and mace makes this pork burger mixture taste like bratwurst. You can make these up ahead of time and keep them in the freezer for an easy meal.

Ingredients

Serves: 10
  • 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (optional)
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon ground mace
  • 1 teaspoon ground white pepper
  • 3 pounds ground pork

Preparation method

Prep: 30 mins | Cook: 5 mins

1. Combine everything but the pork in a bowl, and mix until combined. Add the meat and use your hands to knead until well blended. Form into patties, and refrigerate 1 hour.
2. Grill or freeze.
