- Ingredients:
- 1 pound potatoes
- 1 pound cabbage (about 1/2 head)
- 4 Tablespoons butter
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3/4 cup sharp cheddar cheese, grated
- 1 teaspoon chives
Cook and mash potatoes. Chop and cook cabbage. Melt butter in large skillet. Cook onion until soft and golden. Stir in cabbage and chives. Add mashed potatoes. Season with salt and pepper. Turn into buttered pie plate, sprinkle with grated cheese, and brown under broiler or bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes.
