Ingredients
300 g | brown sugar |
350 ml | water |
2 tbsp | lemon juice, freshly squeezed |
3 tbsp | cornstarch |
3 tbsp | butter |
2 tbsp | rum |
Instructions
Mix brown sugar, 180 ml water and lemon juice in saucepan and heat over medium heat.
In a separate bowl mix the cornstarch with170 ml water and then add to brown sugar mixture.
Heat until mixture thickens and darkens. Do not boil.
Remove from heat, add butter and rum. Mix well.
