Ingredients
6 sprig(s) | marjoram, chopped |
175 g | cream cheese |
4 tbsp | bell pepper paste |
4 tbsp | breadcrumbs |
1 glass(es) | roasted bell peppers, drained |
1 ½ kg | turkey roll |
salt and pepper | |
1 | onion, chopped |
1 | carrot, diced |
5 tbsp | single cream |
200 ml | white wine, dry |
400 ml | vegetable stock |
1 tbsp | cornflour |
2 tbsp | water |
Instructions
Mix the cream cheese with marjoram, bell pepper paste and breadcrumbs. Season the roast with salt. Lay out the turkeyroll at the working place and spread with the cream cheese mixture and the bell peppers. Roll up and tie with kitchen yarn.Transfer into a roasting tin and roast in the preheated oven at 150°C for 30 minutes. Add carrots and the onion and roast for 30 more minutes. Pour in the wine and the stock and roast for another hour, basting the roast occasionally.
Remove the roast from the tin and keep warm. Strain the gravy into a saucepan and bring to a boil. Mix the cornflour with some drops of water and stir the mixture into the gravy. Stir in the cream. Cook for a few minutes until thickened. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Carve the turkey roll and serve together with the sauce.
