Roast pork with roasted apples recipe details
Ingredients
2 tbsp | olive oil |
1 ½ kg | loin of pork |
6 small | onions, peeled |
100 ml | water |
4 small | apples |
Instructions
Heat the oven to 200°C. Oil a roasting pan, score the skin of the pork and place the pork in the oven. Cook for 2 hours (30 minutes per 500g and an extra 30 minutes).During the final hour of cooking add onions and water. Add the apples, cut in half and core removed, for the final half hour of cooking and baste with the cooking juices.
Remove meat from the oven and leave to rest for 15 minutes before carving.
