Ingredients
butter | |
1 | egg yolk |
700 g | potatoes, floury variety |
60 g | crème fraîche |
200 ml | milk |
1 clove(s) | garlic |
110 g | cream |
nutmeg | |
salt and pepper |
Instructions
Whisk the milk with the egg yolk, cream and crème fraîche. Rub a casserole dish with the halved garlic clove and grease with butter. Peel the potatoes and cut in thin slices.Layer the potatoes into the casserole dish and season each layer with salt, pepper and nutmeg. Evenly pour the milk mixture over the potatoes. Divide butter flakes on top.
Bake in the preheated oven at 175°C for approximately an hour or until the potatoes are done and golden brown and all liquid is soaked up.
