Rice with chicken ragout recipe details
Ingredients
150 g | cooked chicken breast, sliced |
3 tbsp | rice |
2 tbsp | butter |
1 tbsp | flour |
1 cup(s) | chicken stock, you may need a bit more |
lemon juice | |
1 | egg yolk |
salt and pepper |
Instructions
Cook the rice.In a saucepan, melt the butter. Stir in the flour and cook for half a minute, stirring constantly. Pour in the chicken stock and cook for some minutes, stirring frequently until a slightly thickened sauce forms. Add the chicken and let simmer until thoroughly hot. Stir in the egg yolk and simmer, stirring, for another minute, but don’t allow to boil. Then take from heat and season to taste with lemon juice, salt and pepper.
Arrange the rice with the chicken ragout on a serving plate.
