Ribbon noodles in tomato sauce with frisee lettuce recipe details
Ingredients
| 1 | onion, chopped |
| 400 g | tomatoes, diced |
| 1 tbsp | dried Italian herbs |
| salt and pepper | |
| 100 g | frisee lettuce, chopped |
| 75 g | cooked ham, diced |
| 50 g | green olives, pitted and sliced |
| 2 clove(s) | garlic, chopped |
| 2 tsp | olive oil |
| 300 g | ribbon noodles |
| sugar |
Instructions
Cook the noodles in salted water until al dente.In a saucepan heat 1 teaspoon of oil. Sauté the onion and the garlic until lucent. Stir in the tomatoes and simmer for 8 minutes. Fold the lettuce and the olives into the sauce. Bring to a boil. Season to taste with salt, pepper and sugar.
In a small pan heat the remaining oil. Add the ham and fry until crispy.
Drain the cooked noodles and arrange them on plates. Pour over the sauce and garnish with the ham.
