1 loaf Challah bread (cinnamon raisin if you can find it)
4 ounces cream cheese
4 eggs
1 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Butter
Topping:
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
2 cups strawberries, cut in half
1 cup blackberries
1 cup blueberries
Instructions:

Cut Challah into 1/2-inch thick slices and spread half of the pieces with cream cheese. Put two slices together to make a sandwich. Lightly beat eggs, add milk and cinnamon, and beat with a fork. Dip sandwiches and fry in butter on griddle. Top with warm berry compote and sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Topping:Make a light sugar syrup by heating the water and sugar together in a saute pan, stirring until the sugar is dissolved. Add the lemon juice and berries and cook over medium heat 2 to 3 minutes, stirring gently every so often to coat the berries.
