Red onion meat loaf recipe details
Ingredients
250 g | minced beef |
250 g | minced veal |
250 g | minced pork |
2 tbsp | olive oil |
4 medium | red onions, chopped |
240 ml | tomato sauce |
4 clove(s) | garlic, minced |
100 g | bread crumbs |
some | fresh parsley, chopped |
salt and pepper, to taste |
Instructions
Preheat oven to 180░C.Heat oil in heavy large skillet over medium heat. sautee onions until just tender, about 6 minutes. Add garlic and sautee for one more minute.
Transfer onion mixture to large bowl, add half of the tomato sauce and all remaining ingredients. Mix until blended.
Shape mixture into a loaf and pour remaining tomato sauce over top and sides.
Bake for about 1 hour. Let stand 10 minutes to cool slightly.
