Red onion and black olive sauce recipe details
Ingredients
2 tbsp | olive oil |
2 | red onions, sliced |
1 tsp | sugar |
2 tbsp | balsamic vinegar |
2 tbsp | black olives, pitted, halved |
2 tbsp | butter |
salt and pepper, to taste |
Instructions
Heat the oil in a saucepan and stir in the onions to coat them with oil. Sprinkle with sugar and cook for 5 minutes or soft. Add the vinegar and olives, season and simmer for a further 2 minutes.Remove from heat and stir in the butter. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Serve this sauce with warm or cold pasta.
