Red cabbage with bacon recipe details
Ingredients
1 large | red cabbage |
1 bulb(s) | garlic |
60 g | butter |
1 large | red onion |
100 g | pine nuts, optional |
300 ml | balsamic vinegar |
1 packet(s) | smoked back bacon |
Instructions
Heat the butter on the hob. Add finely chopped onion and crushed garlic clove with thinly sliced smoked bacon. Fry until golden.Add finely shredded red cabbage, stir, place lid, and cook for 4 minutes, shaking the pan regularly to stop sticking.
Remove lid, add balsamic vinegar and cook another 2 minutes without the lid. Throw in pine nuts, if using, and serve immediately.
