3 | cloves |
1 | bay leaf |
½ tsp | allspice |
6 | juniper berries |
1 tbsp | lard |
1 pinch(es) | sugar |
salt |
Instructions
In a saucepan, heat the lard. Add the cabbage, bay leaf, cloves, allspice, juniper berries and add a little water.Bring to the boil and cook over low heat for 30-40 minutes. Check occasionally if there is sufficient liquid, otherwise add some more water. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
