Real english rice pudding recipe details
This is rich, creamy, and cozy. The best rice pudding i have ever eaten. My mother is from England and she always made rice pudding for a treat.

Ingredients
Serves: 6- 3 cups. spring water
- 1/3 cup dry long grain rice
- 1 12oz. can evaporated milk
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 cup. sugar
Preparation method
Prep: 10 mins | Cook: 1 hour 5 mins1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
2. Pour water into glass loaf dish. Pour rice evenly over the bottom of the dish. Put rice and water into a 375 degree oven for 35 minutes.
3. Meanwhile put sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon, and vanilla in a measuring cup. Pour about 1/3 of the can of evaporated milk into the sugar mixture and stir together. Heat mixture in microwave for 45 seconds and stir. After the rice and water come out of the oven pour sugar mixture into the rice while stirring gently, then pour the remaining evaporated milk into the dish and sprinkle the top with nutmeg (about a teaspoon or so).
4. Put back into the oven for 30 minutes.
