Ravioli with millet filling recipe details
Ingredients
For the pastry: | |
250 g | flour |
water | |
2 tbsp | oil |
1 | egg |
salt | |
For the filling: | |
200 g | millet |
1 tsp | salt |
500 g | curd cheese |
1 tsp | mint, chopped |
1 tsp | chervil, chopped |
1 tsp | marjoram, chopped |
Instructions
For the pastry:In a bowl combine the flour, oil, egg and salt and knead in so much water until you have got a smooth and pliable dough. Form to a ball, then leave to rest in a warm place for 30 minutes.
For the filling:
Thoroughly wash the millet, then cook in ¾ l salted water for approximately 15 minutes or until done. Drain well. Combine with the curd cheese and the herbs and season with salt. Form small balls out of the mixture.
Thinly roll out the dough, then cut out 10*10cm squares. Place at half of the squares a small ball of the filling onto each. Cover with the other squares. Press firmly together the edges with a fork.
Cook in salted water for 5-8 minutes.
Serve with melted butter, Parmesan cheese and a green salad.
