Quick chocolate mousse recipe details
Ingredients
100 g | dark chocolate, chopped |
1 medium | egg, separated |
450 ml | double cream or whipping cream |
2 tsp | sugar |
Instructions
Place chocolate in top half of double boiler over simmering water to melt. Alternatively, microwave chocolate on high for about 1 minute.Transfer chocolate to a bowl, quickly whisk in egg yolk and cream, and whisk until smooth.
Place egg white into medium bowl, add sugar and beat whith electric mixer until soft peaks form.
Fold egg white mixture into chocolate mixture whith spatula. Pour mousse into glasses and refrigerate for at least 10 hours. Best when prepared the day before.
