Puff cereal details
- Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine
- 1 teaspoon grated lemon rind
- 3 Tablespoons lemon juice
- 1/4 cup Post Grape-Nutscereal
- 2 egg whites, stiffly beaten
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 egg yolks
- 2 Tablespoons flour
- 1 cup milk
Cream butter with sugar and lemon rind. Add egg yolks; beat until light and fluffy. Blend in lemon juice, flour, cereal and milk. (Mixture will look curdled.) Fold in beaten egg whites. Pour into 4 or 5 greased custard cups; place cups in pan of hot water. Bake at 325 degrees for about 40 minutes, or until tops spring back when touched. Garnish with whipped cream and sprinkle with Grape-Nuts.
