Prosciutto wrapped scallops recipe details
Scallops cook up nice and quick. The proscuitto (Italian bacon, basically) gives them a salty taste and crunchy texture.

Ingredients
Serves: 6- 12 large scallops, patted dry
- 1/4 pound prosciutto, or as needed
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
Preparation method
Prep: 10 mins | Cook: 5 mins1. Heat grill to medium.
2. Slice prosciutto into 1-inch strips. They should be long enough to wrap around each scallop 1 1/2 times. Wrap each scallop in prosciutto. Pin the proscuitto on with wet round toothpicks.
3. Melt the butter in a small microwavable bowl (about 30 seconds in the microwave). Stir in the garlic powder. Brush this mixture on one side of each scallop.
4. Grill scallops buttered side down for about 2 minutes. Brush second side with butter mixture, then flip and grill for 2 more minutes.
