Praline apple bread details
- Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1-1/4 cups apples, chopped finely
- 1 cup pecans
- Topping:
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
Combine sugar, cream cheese, and vanilla. Beat for 2 minutes. In a separate bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add this mixture to the cream cheese mixture. Add the apples and pecans. Bake in a loaf pan at 350 degrees for 55 minutes.
Heat topping ingredients over low heat and drizzle over the loaf as soon as it comes out of the pan.
