Potato and cheddar hash recipe details
Ingredients
1 large | onion |
2 tbsp | extra virgin olive oil |
2 tbsp | butter |
1 kg | frozen has h brown potatoes |
120 g | Cheddar cheese, crumbled |
nutmeg, ground | |
salt and fresh ground pepper to taste |
Instructions
Heat butter and oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.Add onions and sauté until soft for 2 to 3 minutes. Add potatoes, season with salt and pepper and nutmeg and cook 20 minutes, turning occasionally, until brown and crispy. Add cheese.
Turn the potatoes and onions to melt the crumbles and crisp the cheese a bit, about 1 minute.
Transfer to serving dish.
