Port wine mushroom sauce recipe details
Ingredients
150 g | mushrooms, chopped |
1 tbsp | flour |
80 ml | port |
1 medium | shallot, chopped |
1 tbsp | balsamic vinegar |
240 ml | beef broth |
2 tsp | Worcestershire sauce |
1 tsp | tomato paste |
¼ tsp | dried rosemary |
½ tsp | Dijon mustard |
Instructions
Combine mushrooms and flour in a bowl and toss well to coat.Combine wine, shallots and vinegar in a medium skillet. Bring to a boil and cook until thickened, 3 minutes. Reduce heat, add broth, Worcestershire sauce, tomato paste and rosemary. Cook 1 minute, stirring occasionally.
Add mushroom mixture and cook for 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Stir in mustard.
Serve with beef, lamb, venison or pork.
