Pork bean bake recipe details
Whenever pork chops are on sale, my family asks me to make this. It is one of our family faves even with my picky eater. The lower temp allows the chops to become tender and the lemon and onion compliment the flavors.
Ready in: 1 hour 45 mins
Ingredients
Serves: 6- 6 pork chops, bone in
- 2 (1 pound) cans pork & beans
- 6 tablespoons mustard
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 6 onion slices
- 6 thin lemon slices
Preparation method
Prep: 10 mins | Cook: 1 hour 30 mins | Extra time: 5 mins, resting1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Coat a 13×9-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
2. Dump pork & beans in baking dish. Arrange chops over beans and dash with salt and pepper. Spread each chop with mustard, lightly.
3. Sprinkle with brown sugar and spread ketchup on top.
4. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes uncovered. Place onion and lemon on top, and bake for another 15 minutes.Alternate method
We also make this with baked beans giving it a BBQ flavor.
