Pork and noodles stir fry recipe details
Italian noodles in a stir fry with pork and veggies. This is a version of what’s known on the East Coast as “lo mein” and on the West Coast as “chow mein.”

Ingredients
Serves: 4- 6 ounces angel hair pasta
- 3 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons sesame oil
- 1 (1 pound) pork tenderloin, cut in half lengthwise and thinly sliced
- 3 teaspoons canola oil
- 3/4 cup thinly sliced red bell pepper
- 3/4 cup coarsely chopped snow peas
- 1/2 cup sliced onion
- 1 cup sliced cabbage
Preparation method
Prep: 10 mins | Cook: 15 mins1. Bring a saucepan of salted water to boil over high heat. Add pasta and cook until al dente, according to package directions, then drain.
2. Whisk hoisin sauce, soy sauce, and sesame oil together in a bowl.
3. Pour 2 teaspoons oil into a wok (or large skillet). Set over high heat. Cook pork in hot oil for about 3 minutes, until meat is no longer pink inside, then transfer to a plate and cover with foil.
4. Pour 1 teaspoon oil into the wok. Add the bell pepper, peas, and onion; cook for 3 minutes, then stir in cabbage and cook for another 2 minutes. Vegetables should be cooked but not yet mushy.
5. Drizzle the hoisin/soy sauce mixture over the vegetables, stir, then add the cooked pork. Stir for 1 minute to heat the ingredients, then stir cooked pasta into the skillet. Stir again and serve.
