Poached pears polaner recipe details
- Ingredients
- 5 Bartlett pears – peeled, cored, and halved lengthwise
- 1/4 cup white corn syrup
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 Tablespoons orange juice
- 1-1/4 cup currants
- 3/4 cup strawberry Polaner All Fruitfruit spread
- 1/4 cup orange juice
Stuff each cored center of pears with 2 tablespoons of currants. Place flat side down in shallow baking dish. Top pears with mixture of corn syrup, water, and orange juice. After baking for 30 minutes, mix fruit spread and orange juice. Top pears with mixture and return dish to the oven for another 30 minutes. If fruit does not appear soft after 30 minutes, turn off oven and leave in for a few minutes longer. Chill fruit overnight.
Presentation: Place single pears flat side down on the plate and top with pear sauce. Garnish with mint leaves.
