Ingredients
Serves: 8- 1 pound spaghetti noodles (we like thin)
- 1 pound Italian sausage (substitute ground round)
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 clove garlic, chopped, or to taste
- 1 (26 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce (any brand or flavor)
- 1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes
- 6 diced green onions
- 1 tube refrigerated crescent rolls
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 1/2 pound shredded pizza cheese (mozzarella & provolone mix)
- 1 pkg sliced pepperoni
Preparation method
Prep: 30 mins | Cook: 25 mins1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2. Boil 7-8 qts. water in large pot with a touch of olive oil for noodles.
3. Brown meat in large pan, season with salt, pepper & garlic to your own taste, drain grease & add to sauce and tomatoes in sauce pan. Heat & stir to almost boiling and reduce heat to simmer, add diced green onions.
4. When water boils, add noodles and boil while stirring when needed until al dente or about 6 minutes. While noodles are boiling lightly grease or spray with nonstick spray a 8½X13-inch casserole dish. Roll out crescent rolls, (do not separate) place in bottom of casserole dish. Drain noodles, mix sauce, noodles & parmesan cheese together in noodle pot. Place in casserole dish. Cover top of mixture with pizza cheese and layer with pepperoni.
5. Bake for approx 20 minutes or until cheese is golden brown, allow 5 minutes to cool then serve.
