Pineapple teriyaki ribs recipe details
A slight deviation from the typical ketchup- or vinegar-based rib sauces; this sweet Asian-inspired sauce gives ribs a different taste.
Ready in: 1 day 40 mins
Ingredients
Serves: 4- 1 quart unsweetened pineapple juice
- 1 quart apple cider vinegar
- 1 large purple onion, sliced thin
- 3 pounds back or baby back ribs
- 1 (20 ounce) botle Kikkoman Teriyaki Baste and Glaze
Preparation method
Prep: 10 mins | Cook: 30 mins | Extra time: 1 day, marinating1. Slice ribs into single bone pieces. Put them in a large, resealable plastic bag. Add the sliced onions and toss to mix. Pour in the pineapple juice and the apple cider vinegar; seal and refrigerate for 12 to 24 hours, turning when you can to ensure ribs are completely covered by the marinade.
2. When you’re done marinating the meat, turn the grill to high.
3. Take the ribs out of the marinade and throw it away (the marinade, NOT the ribs). Braise the ribs on all sides until heated well through and cooked. Note: They’ll still be a little pink inside, but that’s from the coloring of the citrus.
4. Turn the heat down to medium-low and brush on the teriyaki sauce, rolling and rebrushing regularly to get the sauce all over each rib. Serve.Serving Suggestions
Serve with rice, corn on the cob, chilled potato salad, or a nice mixed salad.
