The Pie Floater is a South Australian dish originally sold in horse drawn carts in Adelaide since the 1870’s but the popularity has declined in past decades.

Ready in: 25 mins

Ingredients

Serves: 4

  • 4 meat pies
  • 1 can of pea soup
  • tomato sauce (optional)

Preparation method

Prep: 10 mins | Cook: 15 mins

1. Cook the soup and pies according to directions.

2. Ladle the soup evenly into four separate bowls.

3. Place a pie on the soup. Add sauce.
