Persimmon pudding bread details
This makes a nice morning bread to serve with coffee.
- Ingredients
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 3 large, ripe persimmons
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 3 Tablespoons milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine oil and sugar. Add eggs and persimmons and mix well. Add and mix in dry ingredients, milk, and vanilla. Pour into greased and floured loaf pan. Cook at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Bread will come out very moist, almost pudding-like. Cut into slices and serve with powdered sugar.
