Ingredients
Serves: 4- 1/2 red bell pepper
- 6 Tbs. unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1/4 cup white wine
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 2 cups grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 Tbs. salt
- splash olive oil
- 1 package penne (or fettucini)
- 1 Tbs. finely chopped fresh basil
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 3 bay leaves
- 1/2 tsp. sugar
- salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 1 Tbs. flour
- 1 Tbs. chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

2. Clean, dice red bell pepper. Set aside.
3. Melt butter in a medium sauce pan over med-high heat. Add garlic and cook for about 1 minute. Using a whisk, mix in white wine, 1 cup cream, and 1 cup Parmesan. Reduce heat to medium and stir occasionally.
4. Meanwhile, add pinch of salt and a splash of olive oil to boiling water. Stir in penne or fettucini noodles and cook until al dente…
5. This gives you about 8-10 more minutes to finish the sauce.
6. Add 1 more cup of cream, 1 more cup of Parmesan, basil, oregano, bay leaves, diced red bell pepper, sugar, salt and black pepper to sauce mix.
7. Add flour, stirring constantly.
8. Drain penne and toss with sauce over low heat.
9. Garnish with chopped parsley and more grated Parmesan.
