Peachberry cobbler recipe details
- Ingredients
- 8 ripe peaches (give or take a few)
- 1-1/2 to 2 cups berries
- 3 cups sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1-1/2 to 2 cups milk
- 2 sticks margarine
In a bowl, combine fruit and 1 cup sugar. In another bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, milk, and rest of sugar (should be thicker than pancake batter but still pourable). Melt margarine and pour into baking dish. Pour flour mixture on top of margarine. Do not mix. Pour fruit on next. Do not mix. Bake in preheated oven (350 degrees) for 45 minutes until a golden crust has formed and fruit is hot and bubbly. Let sit for a while to solidify (15 to 30 minutes).
