Peach pound cake recipe details
Ingredients
1 large can(s) | peaches, chopped |
6 medium | eggs |
1 tsp | baking powder |
½ tsp | salt |
¼ tsp | baking soda |
1 tsp | vanilla extract |
125 ml | buttermilk |
75 ml | peach syrup from draining |
1 pound(s) | flour |
1 pound(s) | granulated sugar |
230 g | soft butter |
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Whisk the butter with the sugar until creamy. Beat in the eggs until frothy. Stir in the vanilla extract.Sift the flour, baking powder, soda and salt into a bowl. Stir into the egg mixture. Pour in the buttermilk and the syrup. Stir until well combined. Fold in the peaches.
Pour the dough into a buttered cake form and bake for 60-75 minutes.
Remove the cake from the oven and allow to cool completely before serving.
