Peach Crisp Parfait recipe
- Ingredients
- 5 cups sliced peaches or frozen unsweetened peach slices, thawed
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 3/4 cup quick-cooking oats
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine
- Vanilla ice cream
- Whipped cream
Instructions:
Place the fresh or frozen peaches in a 2-quart square baking dish or an 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking pan. In a medium bowl, stir together the brown sugar, quick-cooking oats, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Cut in the butter or margarine with two knives or a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle over the peaches.
Bake, uncovered, in a 375-degree oven for 30 to 35 minutes or until fruit is tender and topping is golden. Cool. To serve, layer peach crisp and ice cream in parfait glasses, beginning and ending with the crisp. Top with whipped cream.
