Paul's marinade for venison or flank steak recipe details
Don’t remember where it came from but it’s the best venison or flank steak marinade I have ever used. Garlic potatoes and green beans combine for an outstanding meal.

Ingredients
Serves: 4- 1/2 cup peanut oil
- 1/2 cup V-8(R) juice
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 teaspoons coarsely ground black pepper
- 2 pounds venison or flank steak
Preparation method
Prep: 5 mins | Cook: 10 mins | Extra time: 2 days, marinating1. Combine the marinade ingredients in a zip-top plastic bag. Using a sharp knife, lightly score meat on each side in a diamond pattern, and place into the bag with the marinade. Press out excess air and seal. Marinate in the refrigerator 2 days.
2. Remove from the refrigerator 2 hours prior to cooking.
3. Preheat grill for high heat. Discard marinade and pat meat dry with a paper towel.
4. Cook on the preheated grill to your desired degree of doneness, 4 to 5 minutes per side for medium-rare. Let meat rest 10 minutes before slicing.
