Ingredients

short crust pastry
350 g minced beef
1 large onion, chopped
2 medium carrots, peeled, chopped
2 large potatoes
200 ml water
1  beef stock cube
1 medium egg, beaten

Instructions

Fry minced beef and drain excess fat. Beat egg and set aside.

Add the onion, carrots, and potatoes. Add water and stock cube and cook on a simmer for 20-30 minutes. When meet and vegetables are cooked through, remove from heat.

Preheat oven to 200°C.

Roll out pastry and cut into squares. Place some of the filling into the centre of each square. Bring sides together as if forming a triangle and pinch along seam. Brush with a little beaten egg and bake for about 20 minutess.

Serve hot or cold.
