Pasta with tomato and fennel sauce recipe details
Ingredients
400 g | pasta |
8 | tomatoes, peeled and diced |
100 g | mild chilies, seeded and sliced |
1 bulb(s) | fennel, quartered and sliced |
2 sprig(s) | basil, torn leaves |
4 tbsp | olive oil |
1 clove(s) | garlic, minced |
1 tbsp | balsamic vinegar |
salt and freshly ground black pepper |
Instructions
In a saucepan, heat the oil and sauté the fennel until golden. Add the tomatoes, chilies and the garlic and cook stirring for some minutes. Stir in the vinegar. Season to taste with salt and pepper.Cook the pasta in salted water until al dente, then drain. Mix together the pasta and the fennel sauce and toss. Serve immediately, sprinkled with the basil.
