Pasta with tofu sauce recipe details
Ingredients
1 | onion, chopped |
300 g | celery, diced |
1 | red chili pepper, chopped |
300 g | tofu, crumbled |
2 tbsp | oil |
salt and freshly ground black pepper | |
2 tbsp | soy sauce |
2 tbsp | tomato puree |
150 ml | vegetable stock |
4 sprig(s) | cilantro, chopped |
10 g | fresh ginger, grated |
1 can(s) | tomatoes |
3 tbsp | sweet chili sauce |
400 g | pasta |
Instructions
In a saucepan, heat the oil. Sauté the celery for 4 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Remove from the pan and set aside. Add the tofu into the pan and fry, stirring, for 4-5 minutes. Add the onion, chili, soy sauce and tomato purée and cook for 2-3 more minutes.Cook the pasta in salted water until al dente.
Pour the stock into the pan and bring the sauce to a boil. Reduce the heat and stir in the tomatoes and the ginger. Cook for 4-5 minutes. Add the celery and the cilantro and season to taste with salt, pepper and sweet chili sauce.
Drain the pasta, add to the sauce and toss. Serve immediately.
