Pasta with shrimp recipe details
Ingredients
1 kg | pasta, short |
350 g | shrimp, cleaned, peeled |
2 medium | red onions, chopped |
2 tbsp | butter |
1 tbsp | olive oil |
240 ml | dry white wine |
1 tbsp | vegetable broth |
1 tsp | basil, dried |
90 g | Parmesan cheese, grated, if desired |
Instructions
Sauté onion in 2 tablespoons butter and olive oil, until tender, but not brown.Stir in wine, broth, basil and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 12-15 minutes until one third is evaporated.
Add shrimp and simmer 3 minutes.
Meanwhite cook pasta al dente.
Toss cooked pasta with melted butter and then add to shrimp sauce. Arrange pasta on a serving dish and drizzle with Parmesan cheese, if desired.
